[00:00] So uh this is another episode of the sie business podcast uh let me go ahead and explain what link type 2 is and then if we have time I will also explain what link type 3 is in this same episode some context um if if you don't know what I'm talking about here make sure that you check out the previous episode uh I will make sure that I include a link to it in the in the description of you know video slash um podcast all right so whether you're
[00:32] Watching the the the video version of this uh episode or whether you're watching the audio podcast version you will be able to watch that episode first before you uh go through with this one all right so as I earlier said uh we classify backlinks uh in three different buckets one is link type one which I already explained in the first video uh the second one is link type two which is the second bucket now the ideally we want a contextual backlink all right so contextual is when
[01:02] When the backlink is uh being granted from the body of the all right so when it's right there within the actual body of the article that's a contextual backlink okay now I will go ahead and show you hopefully show you one of the backlinks which which is a contextual backlink uh okay just give me one second this is so you can see that this is an article and within this um our website say the financial.com which which we
[01:44] Often uh you know uh we often call it sa uh you can see that uh it's been linked from within the body of the article right so it's not from the um the the bio of the author right um so that's why it's a contextual backlink in this case okay now if I go back here you will see that uh in in link type 2 bucket a link can be contextual but then it can also be an author bio backlink or an image backlink or a pdf
[02:14] Backlink okay so let's talk about uh the author bio backlink okay so author bio backlink so for instance you can see that I have previously written for born to invest.com all right now if I go go uh to the bottom of this uh one article that I have written for them in fact this one is a republication they they republished one of my huffington post article I think but anyways you can see that they have linked to my website here so said financial is linked to my
[02:50] However this come this links comes from the author bio okay so that's link is basically you know um probably almost as much worthless as as a blog comment uh backlink would be okay so uh by the way speaking of blog comments we have not mentioned them here obviously it's it's kind of understood I mean here uh we have not mentioned them that's because we just don't work on them obviously right so I'm talking you know high quality backlink um um uh you know no pbns and whatnot
[03:26] Right so what's an image backlink so simply speaking if in this case they had not even linked to my my name but if if my image was linked to the website then that would have been an image by backlink okay or even if there was even if the image was somewhere within the body of the article and they had linked to my image or just any image and that image link was uh going to my website then that would have been an image backlink okay uh
[03:58] Pdf backlink uh it's it's quite simple uh pdf sometimes uh a website would publish a large report uh on their website and and and within the pdf they would link to a uh to an art to someone's website uh so we classify that as a pdf backlink um honestly speaking I have not done a lot of research on pdf backlink but from what I can gather I don't think it's as valuable as a contextual backlink okay so ideally uh we want do follow backlinks uh for
[04:33] The link type one or link bucket one and in case of link bucket two we want contextual backlinks okay the other ones are basically worthless now in the next and the final episode of the final uh part of this this topic um I will I will speak about linked up type bucket number three okay thank you bye
